Fossil Ivory Carvings

All of my carvings are made from fossil walrus ivory. Actually there is a little bone in there also.( Most of the moon faces are of bone just plain old cow bone.

 Walrus tusk and tooth  has been in the ground from 200 - 30,000 years.  This ivory is from the Berring Strait in Alaska.  All of my ivory came from under the ground from animals that died many many years ago. 

In my younger days I carved all of these pieces myself.  Later I have a number of apprentices that I have trained that perform the work with me. and for a few years back in the Bali times before 9/11 I had some of the best carvers in the world under my roof. Those days are gone what carving I do I do alone and cause I always loved carving I still mess with it.
